Hello! We are Krissy and Chad. Together with our two boys Wynn and Sumner and a sheepdog named Haole, we make the Weeks family.

A little history:

Before we even knew each other, our families were a part of each other’s lives through friendship for several generations. We didn't meet until 2000 through a mutual friend. Interest sparked in each other and a relationship soon followed. After dating for seven years we decided to get engaged and later married. We celebrated our vows with close family and friends in a simplistic and meaningful ceremony. As a couple we have a lot in common, as a lot of relationships often do, but it was our love for art of many forms that would draw us closer as companions, as a family, and now also as business partners.

Meet the Photographers:

Krissy is full of kindness, love, fun, and passion not only for photography, but also for her family and friends. Krissy always had an affinity for photography growing up. She carried this passion with her through high school and into college. She entered several competitions through the years and has achieved many awards for her excellence. After college, Krissy went on to work at a publishing company and also as a free-lance photographer for multiple studios. Ultimately, Krissy broke out on her own as friends began asking her to photograph their weddings and families.

Chad, as life would have it, always had a talent for the arts also. Chad may be laid back and quiet, but when you get to know him he is witty and charming and fiercely talented. Chad attributes his artistic skills to a great art teacher who helped foster his talents. After high school, he took some classes at FSCJ, but soon found his motivation and creativity on the road to Costa Rica where he spent a few years traveling, surfing, and living life.

While Chad never used to identify with photography as a typical art form and Krissy could not draw, as their relationship bloomed they soon realized their individual skills were intertwined to produce a remarkable product they both loved.

“Because of our life experiences we now have a better realization of the importance of family, significance of marriage, and the beauty of life. We believe these things combined have made us better artists and are the constant drive behind our ever evolving styles.”

What we hope to achieve:

Creativity is the foundation of Ivey Pictures. Being very family centered, we hope to capture the love and passion couples and families experience during their special moments.  We strive to do this through photographing important memories with a combination of formal and artistic beauty.  Not only do we document your special day—whether it be engagement, wedding, family, or new born photos—we want to encapsulate your personalities in combination with our creativity.  If you are looking for uniquely beautiful pictures for YOUR occasion, we would love to hear from you!

Congratulations on your engagement and the beginning of your family!

We look forward to meeting you and cannot wait to creatively photograph all of the great times ahead!

Life is good!  Krissy + Chad
