Tara + Anthony, Walter Jones Park, Mandarin Fl.

If you're at all familiar with our blog you know that we only write a very minimal amount. We're artists, not authors. We like to think that our work speaks for it's self and words aren't a necessity for anything other than SEO. But.... a few months ago we had our initial consultation with Tara and Anthony.  We had no idea of the story we were about to be told and the assignment we would be given.
A while ago Tara was in a car accident. She was fine but as a precaution she was taken to the hospital and given a CAT scan. The doctors found a brain tumor about the size of a golf ball. Tara had no symptoms and the news was a complete shock to say the least.  Shortly afterward she had a major brain surgery and the parts of the tumor that could be found were successfully removed! The saying God works in mysterious ways must ring in everyones mind when hearing this.
Recently, just days before their engagement session, Tara had a seizure. So back to the hospital she went and after an MRI and tons of tests, Timmy the Tumor (as Tara likes to call it) has reared his ugly face again. She now has another brain surgery scheduled very soon.
Throughout all of this Tara has been unbelievably upbeat, positive, loving, and most of all, thankful for every day she has been given. She and Anthony are an absolute pleasure to be around.
Tara and Anthony are also super creative people! Something that might not seem like a big deal to most people but to us it can be quite intimidating! Are we going to live up to their expectations, are they going think everything we do is lame?
So at their engagement session we decided to try our best to shoot past what they were doing at the moment and try to capture who they are as people, as a couple, and how much they love each other and life!
It is our deepest hopes that after you view these images you feel like you know Tara and Anthony just a little bit and your day is just a little bit brighter than it was before!

PS. Tara will be unable to work for some time after her surgery and is in need of funds for living expenses and the portion of the surgery not covered by insurance. If you have a moment, please donate what you can to help!  (Click HERE for more info.)

Nakeena + Dwaine, Riverside Jacksonville

We are so happy these two were able to fly in from San Francisco for their engagement session.  If just shooting their engagement photos for a few hours was this fun, I can't imagine how much fun their wedding is going to be!

Heather and Eric are having a carnival themed wedding, so it was only natural that they would have their engagement session at The Greater Jacksonville  Agricultural Fair.  It is definitely a place that creativity comes easily along with a few laughs and some great food! Jodi & Kevin's Intuition Engagement

in·tu·i·tion

/ˌint(y)o͞oˈiSHən/

Noun
  1. The ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.
  2. A thing that one knows or considers likely from instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning.

Jodi and Kevin are two people made for each other! Krissy and I watched these two throughout one afternoon explain to us, without words, their intuitive feelings for each other. From CoRK and Intuition, to Boone Park and the River Walk, we had a great time running all around Riverside finding some fun and creative places to capture this sweet couples engagement session! Can't wait for your wedding guys, see you soon! Krissy & Chad

Erica and Jimmy's Engagement

We always have fun on engagement sessions, but Erica and Jimmy made it particularly easy as well! After getting to know them better at St. Augustine's A1A Aleworks, they were completely at ease and full of laughs! We let them be themselves on the streets of downtown St. Augustine and at Anastasia State Park. The resulting photos can be considered works of art, but not the crazy German Expressionist Film kind (as Jimmy would say)! :) Thanks so much you guys, we had a blast!!!! Krissy & Chad

Emma + Taylor's Navy Engagement

I think Emma and Taylor were a bit nervous about having their engagement photos taken. But after spending some time with them at one of our favorite restaurants, Pele's, they relaxed and had no problem letting us see how much fun they are and how much they care about each other. We also stopped by NAS JAX to check out the B-3's that Taylor flies, and to shoot a few more photos of course!

Thanks  for the great time you guys and we'll see you at trivia! Krissy and Chad

MaryAnne + Jerry's Springfield Engagement

MaryAnne and Jerry told us they wanted something different for their engagement photos, which is pretty much the best thing someone could say to us! We love getting creative while at the same time keeping it conservative -(if that makes any sense).  In any case, MaryAnne and Jerry took us to some of their favorite places downtown and into their beautiful home in Springfield. The result was creative photographs that are also personal to them... and not cheesy! Thanks and Congratulations you guys! We had a blast!! Krissy and Chad Jerry and his brother Jason are the owners of Strata Clothing. Check it out!!We love these photos taken at MaryAnne and Jerry's house! We stopped by 11 East downtown, where Jerry chose door #2 and met the girl of his dreams! We also stopped by a swanky little bar MaryAnne and Jerry like to frequent, Dos Gatos.
